Fossil Cookies, Easy food for a dinosaur birthday party

Dinosaur Fossil Cookies

These Dinosaur Fossil Cookies are one of the easiest treats to make for your dinosaur-themed party. You bake the cookies according to package directions. Then, as soon as they come out of the oven, press a dinosaur foot into them to make the imprint. Let them cool, then serve. I tried pressing the foot into them before and after cooking to see which had the best result. If you press the foot in before baking, it is hard to see the imprint after the cookies rise. After is the way to go. Check out this post for everything you need to plan an unforgettable dinosaur party.

What You Need for Dinosaur Fossil Cookies

  • Baking tray
  • Oven
  • Dinosaur toy with a foot the size of the fossil you want on the cookie (ours was about 6 inches tall and his foot was about 1 inch wide and 1.5 inches long)
